Integrated Cancer Care Program

Swedish Hospital believes that cancer care should focus on treating the whole patient. Our Integrated Cancer Care program offers patients advanced medical treatments, as well as a comprehensive cancer survivorship program to support patients from cancer diagnosis and beyond. The Center increases our local community’s access to cancer care, screening and treatment options.

Studies have shown that survivorship supportive services significantly improve cancer patient outcomes such as distress and mood, functional status and quality of life. The program augments standard cancer care by offering services that include: stress reduction groups, individual counseling, nutrition counseling and supplementation, individual and group fitness programming, rehabilitation, palliative care assessment as well as complementary treatments such as massage and acupuncture.

Additionally, a patient navigator helps newly diagnosed patients and those in treatment identify needs and survivorship services of greatest value to the patient. Care integration occurs through a survivorship board, which develops treatment plans and reviews patient progress.

Philanthropic support plays an important role in caring for patients served annually through the Integrated Cancer Care program. All survivorship services are funded through donations to Swedish Hospital Foundation and are provided at no cost to the patient.

Your secure online donation will make a lasting impact on the lives of others. Thank you. Read more articles about Cancer Care.
